I have realized that my blog posts often aren’t that long. Today, I shall try to share more, and not leave so soon.
In violin I am preparing for an audition in June, and I’m learning this Bruch Concerto. Unfortunately I’m not nearly as amazing as Joshua Bell. :) Plus, I have to prepare an etude and two excerpts. So far the Bruch concerto has been much fun, and I really do love the piece.
My orchestra is having a concert one week from today, and I have extra rehearsals. For choir, we have a concert in two weeks, and also have extra rehearsals. I’m just glad those rehearsals don’t overlap! Haha! (Next Saturday I have choir rehearsal from 1:30-4:30, then orchestra rehearsal from 5:30-8:00).
State testing is in less than a week, and I’m getting more and more stressed out. Will my parents be disappointed in me if my score is low? No. However, I am a little bit of a perfectionist, and I just want to do as well as my full potential will allow. Just keep on studying, just keep on studying...
Also, I have my math test in two weeks for the high school that I will be attending next year. This test will determine whether or not I have to retake Algebra 1. I’m praying that I won’t have to retake it...trust me, it was bad enough the first time. I have no desire whatsoever to revisit the pain next year. Haha! xD
However, in my spare time, I have been stalking my friend’s tumblr. Off to bed now!

Performance Tips
I had a concert today. I performed with my quartet which I wrote about back in this post. Here are my tips for performing:
• Arrive at least 30-60 minutes before call time.
• If possible, reserve a practice room to warm up in. If you cannot reserve a practice room, then still try to warm up where you are, or at least warm up your fingers by plucking or fingering your music on your instrument.

Reopening my blog!
Dear Blogging World,
It’s been so long since I’ve created a blog post! D: Never fear, Sunlan is here again! ;)
The person who inspired me to blog again? Danna over at My Life. Danna is one of my best friends, and I recently found out that she has a blog! haha. I figured that if she managed to keep up with a blog, maybe I could too! :D And especially since I gave up my pinterest for lent and had some extra time on my hands...
So...What have I been doing for these past few days?
Worrying about my quartet group. We have a concert in two weeks, and we’re not completely prepared. However, I do have hope that we’ll all practice by our performance, and I will continuously try to perfect my part. We are rehearsing the Mozart Piano Quartet in G minor. Here’s a link of a very good recording: Mozart Piano Quartet No 1 in G minor KV 478 1st Mov
“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”. This quartet has put my under a lot of stress; however, it does give me more experience. And I hope to “fiddle people's socks off,” as my violin teacher states. (:
I shall leave here, as it is getting late. But hopefully I will be back soon.
